Resolution of pinkeye (bacterial conjunctivitis) in just 9 drops.

AzaSite? (azithromycin ophthalmic solution) 1% is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (pinkeye) in adults and children 1 year of age and older. Recommended dosing for AzaSite? is 1 drop twice a day for 2 days, followed by 1 drop once a day for the next 5 days, for a total of 9 drops per infected eye.

Important Safety Information: For use as an eyedrop only. In clinical trials, the most common adverse event was eye irritation, which occurred in 1% to 2% of patients. Other adverse events (occurring in <1% of patients) were burning, stinging, and eye irritation upon instillation skin irritation or rash corneal erosion dry eye altered taste nasal congestion eye discharge inflammation of the cornea and sinus infection.

* Although it is common to feel better early in the course of therapy, it is important to use AzaSite? exactly as directed by your healthcare provider.
* Skipping doses or stopping too early may make the treatment less effective.
* Do not wear contact lenses if you have signs or symptoms of pinkeye.
* Wash your hands thoroughly before using AzaSite?.
