Side Effects and Contraindications: DUAC Topical Gel CS is contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to any of its components or lincomycin, and in those with a history of regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, pseudomembranous colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis. Diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, and colitis have been reported with the use of topical clindamycin. Discontinuation is recommended if significant diarrhea develops. Side effects may include erythema, peeling, burning, and dryness.
