Vandazole 0.75% Gel is a nitroimidazole anti-infective used in the vagina to treat certain types of infection.
Before using
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Vandazole 0.75% Gel. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. DO NOT USE VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL if you are also taking any liquid medicine containing alcohol. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking disulfiram or warfarin. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about using Vandazole 0.75% Gel.
Directions
Follow the directions for using Vandazole 0.75% Gel provided by your doctor. VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL COMES WITH A PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about Vandazole 0.75% Gel. TO PREVENT REINFECTION, wash and dry the applicator after each use. STORE VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL at room temperature, away from heat and light. TO CLEAR UP YOUR INFECTION COMPLETELY, continue using Vandazole 0.75% Gel for the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms are relieved in a few days. Do not miss any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Cautions
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR if your condition worsens or if it does not improve within a few days. Also, check with your doctor if you notice genital itching or burning after a few days of treatment. USE A SANITARY NAPKIN rather than a tampon to prevent staining of clothes and bed linens. DO NOT HAVE VAGINAL SEX during treatment to prevent reinfection. DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL while using Vandazole 0.75% Gel. FOR WOMEN: IT IS UNKNOWN IF VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking Vandazole 0.75% Gel.
Possible side effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include genital itching or burning lower abdominal pain or cramps or a metallic or bad taste. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. If you take too much
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Vandazole 0.75% Gel may be harmful if swallowed.

DO NOT SHARE VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL for other health conditions. KEEP VANDAZOLE 0.75% GEL out of the reach of children.
