Frequently Asked Questions
What is JUBLIA?
JUBLIA is a NEW, FDA-approved prescription topical solution that is applied on, around and under the toenail. JUBLIA reaches the site of onychomycosis to fight the fungus that lives beneath the nail.
Does using JUBLIA require any liver monitoring?
No. As JUBLIA is applied topically to the toenail, very little gets into the bloodstream. Therefore, no liver function tests or monitoring are required with JUBLIA.
Are there any medications I cannot take while using JUBLIA?
When used as directed, there are no known drug interactions with JUBLIA. However, you should still tell your doctor about other medical conditions you have or medicines you are using.
What else should I know/do during treatment?
It is recommended you avoid pedicures, the use of nail polish, and cosmetic nail products while using JUBLIA.
Does JUBLIA cause side effects?
The most common side effects (around 2% of patients) in clinical trials were ingrown toenail, redness, itching, swelling, burning or stinging, blisters, and pain. JUBLIA may cause other side effects.
You are encouraged to report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or www.fda.gov/medwatch.
Who should NOT use JUBLIA?
It is not known if JUBLIA is safe and effective in children. Also, before you use JUBLIA, tell your healthcare provider if you are or plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, or plan to breastfeed, because it is not known whether JUBLIA can harm an unborn fetus or nursing infant.
