IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS
Fortical? Nasal Spray is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women with low bone mass. It should be used with adequate calcium and vitamin D intake as directed by your doctor.
Do not use Fortical? Nasal Spray if you are allergic to calcitonin-salmon protein, or if you are pregnant or nursing.
Your doctor should perform a nasal exam before you start using Fortical? Nasal Spray, and you should notify your doctor if you experience nasal discomfort while using it.
The most common side effects include: nasal symptoms (such as discomfort, runny nose, crusting or bleeding), back and/or joint pain, and headache.
