One Pill to Take, Once a Day

ENABLEX is easy to take?just once daily. When taken as prescribed, ENABLEX can treat Overactive Bladder symptoms in as little as 2 weeks.

What to Do Before You Start Taking ENABLEX

Tell your doctor or healthcare professional about all the medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. ENABLEX and certain other medicines can interact with each other, causing side effects. It is especially important to tell your doctor if you take:

* Ketoconazole (Nizoral?) or itraconazole (Sporanox?), antifungal medicines
* Clarithromycin (Biaxin?), an antibiotic medicine
* Ritonavir (Norvir?) or nelfinavir (Viracept?), antiviral medicines
* Nefazodone (Serzone?), a depression medicine
* Flecainide (TambocorTM), an abnormal heartbeat (antiarrhythmic) medicine
* Thioridazine (Mellaril?), a mental disorder (antipsychotic) medicine
* A medicine called a tricyclic antidepressant

Also tell your doctor or healthcare professional about all of your medical conditions, including:

* Any stomach or intestinal problems, or problems with constipation
* Trouble emptying your bladder or a weak urine stream
* An eye problem called narrow-angle glaucoma
* Liver problems
* Whether you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant (it is not known if ENABLEX can harm your unborn baby)
* Whether you are breastfeeding (it is not known if ENABLEX passes into breast milk and if it can harm your baby)

Take Your ENABLEX Prescription
Exactly as Prescribed

Your doctor will decide the dose that is right for you. So be sure to take ENABLEX exactly as it is prescribed for you. Your doctor may prescribe a lower dose if you have certain medical conditions, such as liver problems.

* You should take ENABLEX once daily with liquid.
* ENABLEX should be swallowed whole and not chewed, divided, or crushed.
* You may take ENABLEX with or without food.
* It's best to take ENABLEX at the same time, day or night.
* If you miss a dose of ENABLEX, begin taking ENABLEX again the next day. Do not take 2 doses of ENABLEX in the same day.
* If you take too much ENABLEX, call your local Poison Control Center or emergency room right away.

To get the best results from ENABLEX, be sure to:

* Take ENABLEX every day as prescribed by your doctor. Taking ENABLEX only when you think you need it?like when you have a special occasion?will not give you the best results.
* Keep in touch with your doctor. Since ENABLEX comes in 2 strengths (7.5 mg and 15 mg), it's important to share your progress with your doctor, so you are prescribed the right treatment.

ENABLEX Side Effects

As with all prescription medicines, you may experience some side effects. The most frequently reported side effects of ENABLEX (darifenacin) were dry mouth, constipation, indigestion, and abdominal pain. The majority of ENABLEX side effects experienced when taking ENABLEX were mild or moderate, and most occurred during the first 2 weeks of treatment.

Like all Overactive Bladder medications, ENABLEX may cause other, less common side effects, because it belongs to a class of medications called anticholinergics. These may include:

* Blurred vision. Use caution while driving or doing dangerous activities until you know how ENABLEX affects you.
* Heat prostration. Heat prostration (due to decreased sweating) can occur when drugs such as ENABLEX are used in a hot environment.

Certain medical conditions can increase your risk of rare side effects. You should talk to your healthcare professional about all your medical history to be aware of any of these risks.
