Uses

This medication is used to prevent cavities. It makes teeth stronger and more resistant to decay caused by acid and bacteria.
How to use DentaGel Dent

Use this medication once daily just before bedtime or as directed by your doctor/dentist.

If you are using the gel form, first brush your teeth thoroughly with toothpaste, and rinse as usual. Then apply a thin ribbon of this medication to your teeth with a toothbrush or mouth tray. Leave the medication on for at least 1 minute.

If you are using the cream form, use this medication in place of your regular toothpaste unless otherwise directed by your doctor/dentist. Apply a thin ribbon of the medication to a toothbrush, and brush your teeth for 2 minutes.

Spit out the medication after use. Do not swallow. Children should rinse their mouth thoroughly right away. For adults, do not rinse your mouth, eat, or drink for at least 30 minutes after use to get the best results.

Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same time each day.

Side Effects

Mouth/gum irritation may infrequently occur. If this effect persists or worsens, contact your doctor/dentist or pharmacist promptly.

Tell your doctor/dentist immediately if your teeth become stained or pitted. This is often a result of too much fluoride.

This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor/dentist or pharmacist.
