Indications:
Derifil 100 mg. chlorophyllin tablet can be taken orally or can also be used in the appliance. Ideal for people with ostomies or incontinence. 100 tablets. Derifil Internal Deodorant tablets are ideal for managing bowel incontinence odors which are the result of spinal cord injury, bowel cancer or terminal disease of hospice care patients.

Derifil Internal Deodorant tablets are ideal for managing bowel incontinence odors which are the result of spinal cord injury, bowel cancer or terminal disease of hospice care patients.

Spinal Cord Injury Patients
Unpleasant bowel discharge and flatulence odors among spinal cord injury patients can be a significant obstacle in maintaining a positive self-image in social, family or work settings. Often the patient's bowel discharge is well regulated, but they and their caregiver(s) still have to deal with the offensive odors which can make daily maintenance a very unpleasant task.

Oncology, Ostomy and Hospice Care Patients
Unpleasant bowel odors due to degenerative and cancerous diseases and associated bowel incontinence can be a significant emotional and social problem for patients. Derifil Tablets can help minimize such offensive odors and make times together with family and friends more pleasant. Derifil is a valuable element in a palliative care plan recommendation. Derifil taken at the dosage level of 1-3 tablets per day can be an important adjunct to other measures in making the patient more comfortable. When many aspects of their health may be uncontrollable, effectively managing bowel odor can be a significant benefit in helping to restore and maintain a positive personal image.

Though Derifil is an over-the-counter drug, contact a physician about any possible interaction when taken in conjunction with other drugs. Derifil travels through the gastrointestinal tract and tints the bowel discharge a green color. It may take up to 7 days of use for Derifil to reach its full deodorant effectiveness, which can then be maintained long term by daily dosage.

Directions:
Derifil Tablets (100mg chlorophyllin copper complex sodium, USP) can be taken daily to establish a therapeutic level of chlorophyllin in the digestive tract, which reduces the formation of the characteristic foul smelling compounds by intestinal tract bacteria. Since these odors are readily controlled or eliminated internally, Derifil Tablets can provide spinal cord injury patients with effective deodorant protection 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, when taken as directed.

Warnings:
Derifil may cause a temporary mild laxative effect at the start of use. Bowel management may have to be adjusted during these few days. Once bowel deodorization with Derifil is established, it can be maintained by continued daily use. The lowest dosage level which manages the odor should be used.
