The range of noise reduction ratings for existing hearing protectors is approximately 0 to 33. (Higher numbers denote greater effectiveness).

Directions:

Fitting instructions:

1. With clean hands, hold ear plug between thumb and forefinger as shown. Roll and progressively compress the entire ear plug to a small crease free cylinder.
2. To insure proper fitting reach hand over head and gently pull ear upward and outward as shown. Insert compressed, rounded end of ear plug well into ear canal. Hold 20-30 seconds until ear plug expands. Release, then push for 5 seconds to insure fit.
3. Proper Fit: When properly inserted, flange of ear plug is located at the opening of the ear canal.

Discard product after several uses or as soon as dirt or wax accumulates on ear plugs.

Warnings:

Warning: Improper fit will reduce effectiveness and could result in hearing loss or injury.

Caution: Keep ear plugs away from infants and small children. May get caught in windpipe.

The level of noise entering a person's ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise and the NRR.

Example:

1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dBA.
2. The NRR is 33 decibels (dB).
3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 59 dBA.

For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the enclosed instructions for proper fit. Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protections against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunfire. Constant or repetitive exposure to impulsive noise may lead to serious injury, temporary or permanent deafness. The noise reduction rating (NRR0 calculated from the attenuation data is 33 dB. Super Leight Ear Plugs must be properly fitted to attenuate noise effectively. Refer to instructions.
